Long before AAWidebody.com existed, Razzak Memon — a 35-plus-year AAdvantage® member and ConciergeKey flyer — was already doing the legwork by hand. American's cargo division publishes its own widebody fleet schedule as a public PDF, since cargo capacity rides in the belly of the same passenger aircraft. Razzak began regularly screenshotting those PDFs and posting them into AAdvantage Facebook groups so fellow elite flyers could see which routes were flying which widebody aircraft.
It worked, but it was clunky — static images of a dense table, impossible to search or filter, and stale the moment a new revision was published. The community's appetite for the information, though, was obvious. That led Razzak to ask whether a more detailed, structured version of the same schedule data could be made available electronically. With the cooperation of a contact within American's own Network Planning organization, it could — and Razzak ran it through the one toolset he's spent over four decades mastering: his own company's relational database engine, R:BASE. What came out the other side was no longer a screenshot. It was a living, queryable, interactive schedule.
"For as long as I can remember, I have had an obsession with flying widebodies. Over the years, I have spent countless hours studying, analyzing, and sharing American Airlines' widebody schedule with anyone who would listen." — Razzak Memon
None of this would have been possible without the generous support of the team within American's Network Planning organization. Thank you for trusting a fellow AAdvantage member with the data that makes this resource work, and for believing in a project built purely out of love for this airline and the community it serves. — Razzak Memon
The first version of AAWidebody.com went live on August 5, 2026 — fittingly, while Razzak was mid-trip on a Mediterranean cruise from Lisbon to Athens. The response from the AAdvantage community was immediate: more than 400 visitors and over 100 Facebook likes on launch day alone, entirely through organic word of mouth.
"This is my passion project for the AAdvantage community I love. I hope it helps you find your next widebody AAdventure!" — Razzak Memon, launch announcement
Every update since launch has shipped on a monthly cadence, and — just as importantly — every feature has been shaped directly by what AAdvantage members asked for in the Facebook groups where Razzak is active: the Live Route Map, Cabin Configuration Reveal, Route Finder, and Find My Flight all started as a request or a piece of feedback from a fellow member, not a corporate product plan.
AAWidebody.com's October 2026 update drew notice beyond the Facebook groups where it started: Gary Leff's View From the Wing featured the site in one of its daily roundups, and the site was separately shared organically on X by a well-followed American Airlines network-watcher account, drawing more than 15,000 views with no paid promotion behind it.
